“Read me a story,” says six-year-old Sherlock to Father.

“I can’t right now, ask your mother,” says Father.

 

“Read me a story,” says ten-year-old Sherlock to Mycroft.

“I can’t right now, I have to meet up with my friends,” says Mycroft.

 

“Read me a story,” says eighteen-year-old Sherlock to Sebastian.

“I can’t right now, I have to study,” says Sebastian.

 

“Read me a story,” says twenty-five-year-old Sherlock to Lestrade.

“I can’t right now, I’m arresting you,” says Lestrade.
