I discovered this meme during my travels around the internet and thought it would be an interesting project for April. We’ll see if I’m right.
1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you’ve worked with and why.
I keep coming back to my San Francisco stories’ universe: I want to give old characters cameos, or introduce new ones through their relationship with old ones, or use the same settings (not difficult, since most of the locations in the stories are at least inspired by real places), or use the same references. I want a character in a new story to sing karaoke to a song written by an older one. And so on.
I think I like reusing it because it’s a comfortable universe. Bad things happen but they can be overcome, friendships are true and solid, and love is the most important thing in pretty much everyone’s lives. I just find it a lovely place to be.
